Ang Mo Kio Police Division

Introduction

Ang Mo Kio Police Division HQ or 'F' Division was first established in 1965. It was previously located in Paya Lebar. In 1987, 'F' Division migrated to its present location (51 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 Singapore 569784) to better meet its operational needs and to locate itself more strategically to better serve the public.

'F' Division serves a residential population of over 1.4 million residents. Among the 6 police land divisions, 'F' Division covers the second largest land area. Our area of coverage includes mature housing estates such as Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Hougang, Serangoon. Under its wing are also young but fast growing and developing residential estates like Sengkang and Punggol.

'F' Division commands a total of 8 Neighbourhood Police Centres (NPCs) and 8 Neighbourhood Police Posts (NPPs). Since the inception of the NPC system, closer rapport and collaboration between the police and the community has been achieved through close cooperation with the grassroots organisations to proactively address safety and security concerns of the community. Such collaboration has resulted in an increase in public-assisted arrests and brought crime rates down.

In this heightened security environment, community policing has an added dimension. Therefore, homeland security is a shared responsibility with our citizens. 'F' Division is constantly educating and raising the public's awareness to the security threats and how the community can work with the police combat terrorism together.

Mission

Our mission is to uphold the law, maintain order, and keep the peace within 'F' Division. We will protect life and property, prevent crime and disorder, detect and apprehend offenders and preserve a sense of security within the jurisdiction of 'F' Division in particular and Singapore in general.

Vision

Our vision is to be the leading Police Division and a role model for other police divisions to emulate. Our vibrant and creative officers will strive for nothing less than excellence in our endeavor to fulfill our promise to serve our community. We will be renowned for our dedication and perseverance to be a key contributor to our country's progress and a defender of justice in Singapore.
