Entry Requirements

PES Status	A or B	Exempted
Age	18 – 45 years of age
Vision	Good eyesight. Shortsightedness must not exceed 500 degrees (for each eye)
Educational Requirements	Minimum 3 GCE “O” Level or equivalent All applicants must be proficient in the English Language
Height (Minimum)	1.62 meters	1.57 meters
Weight (Minimum)	54 kg	45 kg
Medical Status	Certified medically fit
Nationality	Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident

* Reservists may apply, but upon enrolment, will not be exempted from their National Service responsibilities.

* Male applicants must have fulfilled their National Service liabilities or be exempted.

* Those who are in full-time National Service (SPF / SAF / SCDF) will not be considered.

VSC Officers are eligible, depending on their ranks, to join as associate members of the Senior or Junior Officer Mess. VSC Officers may also participate in welfare activities offered by the Police Welfare Division.
