Our societal responsibility programmes seek to reach out to the community in 2 main areas - fund-raising & charity drives; and social services & community projects. This is also the main thrust of SPF's societal responsibility as it is able to involve all officers, regardless of job scope, seniority or fitness levels.
Fund-raising & Charity Drives
SPF is committed to holding one major annual charity event to raise funds for the Community Chest at the force-wide level. SPF Units are also strongly encouraged to take on one community project a year.
These beneficiaries covered many social service sectors, including youth sectors, hospices, welfare homes etc. In addition to raising funds for the less privileged amongst us, the events served to promote bonding within the organisation, bonding with the community, as well as healthy lifestyle.
Most of our officers also contribute to the Community Chest SHARE Programme and we are constantly seeking to encourage those who are not already in the programme to start contributing to this good cause. SPF constantly achieved more than 80% contribution rate in SHARE Programme from all officers for the past 5 years.
