LICENSING CONDITIONS FOR LICENCE TO POSSESS A SPEARGUN

1 Subject to condition no. 2, the speargun is restricted for use in the sea within the Republic of Singapore only.
2 The licensee is required to obtain an export licence from the Licensing Officer if he intends to bring the speargun out of Singapore for underwater fishing. The licensee may apply for the export licence via PLUS at least 5 working days before the date of departure.
3 The speargun shall be stored under lock and key in the approved premises when not in use.
4 The speargun licence is not transferable except with the approval of the Licensing Officer.
5 A police report shall be made if the speargun is lost and a copy of the report is to be submitted to the Licensing Officer.
6 If the licensee wishes to give up the speargun and licence, he has to seek the approval of the Licensing Officer. Once approval is granted, the licensee shall surrender his speargun and licence to CISCO for disposal.
7 If the licensee intends to leave Singapore for good, he is required to apply for an export licence for the speargun. The speargun licence is to be surrendered to the Licensing Officer for cancellation.
8 The licensee is to report any change of his residential address to the Licensing Officer.
