Liquor Licence Licensing Conditions
If a licence is granted, you are required to comply with the following licensing conditions. Please note that additional conditions may also be imposed on the licence by the Licensing Officer.
CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS FOR THE ISSUE OF LIQUOR LICENCE
GENERAL
1. No licensee shall keep or store any intoxicating liquors, on which duty has been paid, elsewhere than in the premises as specified in the licence unless the liquors are in the course of transit or kept solely for private consumption.
2. No licensee shall assign, lease or let the licensed premises or do any act to relinquish the management of the business for which the licence is issued.
3. No licensee shall change the name or style under which he carries on business without the prior approval of the Board.
4. No licensee shall keep open the premises, for sale or offer for sale any intoxicating liquor or allow any intoxicating liquor to be consumed on the premises beyond the licensing hours.
5. Subject to any extensions granted by the Board, every licensed premises, shall not remain open beyond the licensing hours stated in the licence, unless it is to be used for any purpose other than the sale of intoxicating liquor.
6. The licensee shall -
(a) prominently display at conspicuous locations in the licensed premises a sufficient number of notices of the prescribed size and form (the prescribed size and form of the notices may be changed from time to time, as set out in the internet website: http://www.spf.gov.sg/licence.
(b) An officer of the Liquor Licensing Board may direct the number of notices to be displayed as well as the location and manner of display as he considers fit, and the licensee shall comply with such directions.
7. The licensee must allow any members of the Board or the Secretary of the Board or the proper officer of customs to enter his licensed premises and inspect such premises and any intoxicating liquors therein and all accounts kept in connection therewith and to take such copies or extracts thereof as they may think fit.
8. No licensee shall permit any drunkenness, disorderly conduct or gambling in his licensed premises.
9. No licensee shall employ or permit to be employed in his licensed premises any waitress –
(a) who has not attained the age of 17 years; or
(b) who he knows or has reason to believe is a prostitute or of bad character.
10. For self-employed licensees, it is compulsory that all outstanding Medisave payments are fully paid up prior to the commencement of the liquor licence period.
11. The Liquors Licensing Board may, in its discretion, cancel or suspend any licence at any session or meeting of the Board.
SALE RESTRICTIONS
1. No licensee shall sell or offer for sale, or permit to be sold or offered, or have in his possession any intoxicating liquors for sale except under and in accordance with a valid liquor licence and at the premises specified in the licence.
2. No licensee shall, during any period the licensed premises are required to remain closed, sell or offer for sale in the premises any intoxicating liquors or keep open the premises for the sale of any intoxicating liquors or allow any intoxicating liquors to be consumed at the premises.
3. No licensee shall supply or permit to be supplied in his licensed premises any intoxicating liquors to any drunken person.
4. No licensee shall permit for sale or consumption in his licensed premises of any intoxicating liquors by any person who is below the age of 18 years.
5. No person who is below the age of 18 years shall buy or attempt to buy any intoxicating liquors for consumption on any licensed premises.
Please note that the failure to comply with or contravention of the requirements and prohibitions may result in prosecution being instituted against the licensee.
