Liquor Licence (Establishment)
 

Any sale of intoxicating liquors within Singapore will require a Liquor Licence under the Customs Act Cap 70.

The Liquors Licensing Board issues two categories of licenses:

  • for retail sale of intoxicating liquors for consumption on the premises, and
  • for retail or wholesale of intoxicating liqours for consumption off the premises

There are 4 main types of licence as follows:

  • Public house licence is for the sale of all types of liquor (inclusive of beer and stout) for consumption on the premises.
  • Beer house licence is for the sale of only beer and stout for consumption on the premises.
  • Wholesale liquor/Retail liquor shop licence is for the sale of all types of liquor (inclusive of beer and stout) for consumption off the premises.
  • Wholesale beer/Retail beer licence is for the sale of only beer and stout for consumption off the premises

Examples:

  • Coffeeshop operators
  • Restaurant operators
  • Pub operators
  • Convenience shop operators

 

  The processing time for such applications is 12 working days from the date of receipt of the application.
