ADDITIONAL MODE OF PAYMENT FOR SPF LICENCES

A new mode of payment via the AXS Stations is now made available for the payment of licence fees for SPF licences w.e.f. 20 Oct 2009.

(ASSEMBLIES AND PROCESSIONS)
RULES AND APPLICATION OF POLICE PERMIT FOR PUBLIC TALKS


With effect from 09 Oct 2009, the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) (Assemblies and Processions) Rules will be rescinded and all police permits will be issued under the Public Order Act 2009. However, there is no change to the process for application of police permits.

Any lecture, talk, address, debate or discussion will require a police permit under the Public Order Act 2009, instead of a public entertainment licence under the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act. Exemption conditions for lecture, talk, address, debate or discussion will continue to apply.

All applications to hold any lecture, talk, address, debate or discussion made on or before 09 Oct 2009, will be processed and charged in accordance with the Second Schedule of the Public Entertainments & Meetings Rules while applications made after 09 Oct 2009, will be charged in accordance with The Schedule, Regulation 7 of the Public Order Regulations 2009.
