The National Day Parade 2008 – National Education Shows will be held on the respective Saturdays of 5, 12 and 19 July 2008 at the floating platform located along Marina Bay off Raffles Ave.
To facilitate the event, the following roads and lanes will be closed to all vehicular traffic at the specified times below:

In the event where the National Day Parade 2008 – National Education Shows are not held on the scheduled dates, the events will be held on the reserve dates of Sundays on 6, 13 and 20 July 2008. The abovementioned closures will also be effected on the reserve dates.
During the road closures, only authorized vehicles displaying the approved labels will be allowed into the road closures. Auxiliary Police officers, Police officers and SAF traffic marshals will be deployed at the affected road junctions to assist and direct motorists. Public bus services affected by the road closures will be diverted accordingly.
Traffic congestion is expected along Raffles Boulevard , Raffles Avenue , Republic Avenue, Bras Basah Road , Nicoll Highway and Esplanade Drive . Motorists are advised to plan their route and avoid these areas. Motorists travelling to Empress Place are advised to use Parliament Place via North Bridge Road or Hill Street . Those travelling to the vicinity of Suntec City and Marina Square are advised to use public transport.
Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking indiscriminately and/or causing obstruction will be towed away.
