Swift Police Action Sees Vicious Robbers Nabbed Within 24 Hours
 

Police have arrested two men and a woman, aged between 20 to 25 years old, for robbing and causing hurt to a 45 year-old man yesterday morning.

On 7 January 2010 at about 7am, the victim, a 45 year-old man was found unconscious with head injuries at the ground floor of Blk 413 Tampines Street 41. He was immediately conveyed to the hospital for medial treatment and currently remains warded in. It was subsequently established that the victim had been attacked and robbed of his bag and handphone by a group of unknown persons.

Following extensive investigations and enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division managed to quickly establish the identities of the suspects. On 8 January 2010 at about 1.15 am , the officers mounted an operation and the suspects were swiftly arrested in the vicinity of Boat Quay.

The three suspects will be charged in Court No. 26 on 9 January 2010 for Robbery with Hurt under Section 394 which carries imprisonment of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years and shall also be punished with caning with not less than 12 strokes.

Commander of Bedok Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Teo Chun Ching, commended his officers for their good investigative work, teamwork and resourcefulness in tracking down the suspects.
