Four Men to be Charged for Murder
 

Police have arrested four Singaporean men aged between 22 to 26 years old in connection with the death of 38-year-old Mr Lim Eng Soon on 25 January 2010.

On 25 January 2010 at about 12.05am, Police responded to a call of persons fighting at the ground floor near Blk 144 Teck Whye Lane. A Chinese man in his late 30s was conveyed with injuries to National University Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead on the same day at about 12.05pm.

Police worked round the clock to trace the assailants and arrested two of the men, aged 24 and 26 on 26 January 2010. Through follow-up investigations, two more assailants, both aged 22, were arrested earlier this afternoon. The two men arrested on 26 January 2010 will be charged in Court on 28 January 2010, while the other two men will be charged in Court on 29 January 2010.

The four men will be charged for the offence of Murder with Common Intention under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which carries the death penalty.
