Police have arrested three men, aged between 20 to 22 years old, who are believed to be responsible for several cases of robberies involving victims who are foreign workers.
Since January 2010, several cases of robbery had been reported in the Ang Mo Kio, Hougang and Yishun housing estates. In most of the cases reported, the suspects would assault the victims before making away with their cash and valuables, including mobile phones and jewellery.

Two mobile phones and a work permit, believed to be stolen items, were also recovered from the suspects’ possession and seized as case exhibits.
The suspects will be charged in Court on 6 March 2010 for the offence of Robbery with Common Intention under Section 392 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum of 14 years imprisonment.
