Stay Vigilant Against Crime During Your Visit to Universal Studios Singapore

The soft opening of the much awaited Universal Studios Singapore is round the corner and large crowds are expected at Sentosa. Police would like to advise all visitors to remain vigilant against criminals who might seize this opportunity to commit crimes during this period.

Be Wary of Pickpockets

While visitors are enjoying the sights and queuing for rides, they should be vigilant of criminals who are also on the lookout for an easy target to strike at.

Don't let thieves spoil your visit - visitors are advised to adopt the following crime prevention tips:

· When walking in crowded places, be wary of anyone bumping into you and check your valuables immediately if that happens.

· Do not attract the attention of would-be thieves by exposing cash, valuables or jewellery in public areas.

· Ensure that your belongings are properly secured and within view when walking.

· Never leave your valuables unattended.

Be Considerate & Mindful of Safety

Visitors are advised to be considerate towards others and refrain from actions that may compromise the safety of other visitors or themselves. Simple gestures such as queuing up patiently for the rides in an orderly manner will allow everyone to enjoy the day better.

Parents are advised to supervise their children at all times to prevent them from wandering off and getting lost in the crowd.

Members of the public can call Police at ‘999’ immediately should they spot any suspicious-looking persons or items. Alternatively, they can approach police officers who are deployed on the ground or lodge a report at the nearest Police station.
