Police arrested 2 male French nationals and 1 male Spanish national, aged between 46 and 64 years old, on 3 April 2010, for cheating at the roulette tables of Resorts World Sentosa casino.

Investigation revealed that the 3 men had entered the casino on several occasions and on 26 March 2010, one of the men committed past-posting at the roulette table. It was established that the 3 men were in Singapore on Social Visit Passes.

The 3 men, will be charged in court on 5 April 2010 for offence of cheating under Section 420 of the Penal Code. If convicted the offender faces imprisonment for a term which may extend to 10 years and shall also be liable to fine.

Assistant Director of the Specialised Crime Division, Superintendent of Police Goh Lam Kiong said, “Police do not tolerate any attempt by criminal elements to cheat and carry out their criminal activities in the casinos and thereby affecting the safe gaming environment enjoyed by legitimate gamers. Police will continue to work closely with the Casino Regulatory Authority and the casino operators to ensure, through diligent observation, swift enforcement, investigation and prosecution, that the casinos are kept free from criminal influence.”
