Traffic Arrangements for Sri Mariamman Consecration Ceremony
 

The Hindu Endowment Board will be holding the Sri Mariamman Consecration Ceremony from 10 April 10, 8pm to 11 April 10, 6pm.

To facilitate the event, the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic during the stipulated duration:

Dickenson Hill Road (between Banda Street and Neil Road)

8 p.m. on 10th April 2010 to
6 p.m. the following day

Banda Street (between Sago Street and Dickson Hill Road)

Spring Street (between Banda Street and Neil Road)

Temple Street (between New Bridge Road and South Bridge Road ) 10 p.m. on 10th April 2010 to
4 p.m. the following day
Sago Lane (between Banda Street and Neil Road ) 10 p.m. on 10th April 2010 to
6 p.m. the following day
South Bridge Road (between Upper Cross Street and Maxwell Road )

12 midnight on 10th April 2010 to 4 p.m. the following day.

Mohamed Ali Lane (between Club Street and South Bridge Road )
Ann Siang Hill (between Ann Siang Road and South Bridge Road )
Erskine Road (between Maxwell Food Centre car park exit and South Bridge Road )
Smith Street (between Trengganu Street and South Bridge Road )
Mosque Street (between lamp post 15 and South Bridge Road )

In addition, from 12 midnight on 10 Apr 10 to 4pm the following day, Mosque Street and Erskine Road will be converted into a 2-way road to allow access to and exit from New Bridge Road and Ann Siang Road respectively.

Auxiliary Police officers will be deployed at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists. Parking restriction along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced and vehicles found parking indiscriminately or causing obstruction will be towed away.

SBS and SMRT buses serving the affected roads will be diverted during the road closures.
