Traffic Arrangements For National Day Parade 2010 – National Education Shows 2 And 3
 

In preparation for NDP 2010, the National Education Shows 2 and 3 will take place on Saturday, 17 and 24 July 2010 respectively, at the Padang. The reserve dates will be on Sunday, 18 and 25 July 2010 respectively.

To facilitate the rehearsal, the following roads will be closed to traffic during the stipulated timings:

During the event, access to the above-mentioned roads will only be granted to authorised vehicles. Police officers, auxiliary police officers and SAF marshals will be deployed at all affected junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists.

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed away.

Delays are expected along Beach Road , Bras Basah Road , Republic Boulevard, Raffles Avenue , Raffles Boulevard , New Bridge Road , Hill Street, North Bridge Road, Mountbatten Road , Stadium Boulevard and Old Airport Road due to the lane/road closures. Motorists are advised to plan their journey early and use alternative routes.

Motorists travelling to Marina Centre are advised to use Temasek Avenue via Republic Boulevard or Bayfront Avenue . Alternatively, motorists can also use Temasek Boulevard via the Rochor exit on the ECP. Motorists travelling to Fullerton Square and Battery Road are advised to use Collyer Quay via Cecil Street or Pickering Street . Motorists travelling to the Singapore Indoor Stadium or Leisure Park are advised to use Stadium Way via Tanjong Rhu Road .

The mobile column will also be conducting their rehearsals on Saturday, 17 and 24 July 2010 , respectively. During the rehearsals, the mobile column will be travelling along High Street, Hill Street (towards the direction of New Bridge Road), New Bridge Road (towards the direction of Upper Pickering Street), Upper Pickering Street, Pickering Street, Church Street, Cecil Street, Collyer Quay, Marina Boulevard and Bayfront Ave (towards the direction of Raffles Avenue). Traffic along the route and the affected junctions will be stopped temporarily between 2.00 pm to 2.40 pm and 7.00 pm to 7.40 pm to facilitate the movements of the mobile column. Motorists are advised to avoid using these roads during these periods and to expect delays along these roads and the peripheral roads leading to them.
