On 23 July 2010 at about 4.15am , police responded to a case of a fight at Orchard Plaza.

Upon police arrival, a 28-year-old Malay man was found injured with slash wounds and was conveyed to hospital. He was subsequently pronounced dead in hospital at 4.58am.

Police have classified the case as murder and investigations are currently ongoing.
