Traffic Police will have a new commander come 13 September 2010. Assistant Commissioner (AC) Cheang Keng Keong takes over from AC Christopher Ng, who assumed command at Traffic Police in 2008.

AC Cheang is currently the Commander of the Jurong Police Division. AC Cheang, a Singapore Police Force Local Merit Scholar, has held, among other key positions, the posts of Deputy Director of Technology Division in MHA, Deputy Commander of Central Police Division and Deputy Commander of Police Coast Guard.

AC Ng, an SPF (Overseas) Scholar, will be seconded to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore as Deputy Commissioner (Operations). Prior to his posting at Traffic Police, he was Deputy Director (Operations), Police. Other notable appointments in his 19-year policing career include Commander of Airport Police Division and Deputy Commander of Bedok Police Division.
