Traffic Arrangements for SAFRA Singapore Bay Run – Army Half Marathon 2010
 

The SAFRA Singapore Bay Run will be held at the Marina Bay vicinity on Sunday, 12 September 2010. About 60,000 runners will be expected to participate in the event.

To facilitate the traffic arrangements, the following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic during the stipulated dates and timings:

1.       3 right lanes of St Andrew’s Road (between Coleman Street and Stamford Road) ( a )  Thursday, 9 September 2010 from 2.00 am to 6.00 am and
( b )  Monday, 13 September 2010 from 12.00 am to Monday, 13 September 2010, 3.00 am
2.       2 left lanes of East Coast Parkway in the direction of Changi Airport (between Marina Boulevard and Fort Road) (c) Sunday, 12th September 2010 from 1.00 am to 10.00 am
3.       East Coast Park Service Road (between Fort Road and Tanjong Katong Flyover) (d) Sunday, 12 September 2010 from 1.00 am to 10.30 am
4.       Fullerton Road (e) Sunday, 12 September 2010 from 1.00 am to 11.00 am
5.       The carriageway of Collyer Quay in the direction of Raffles Quay
6.       3 right lanes of Collyer Quay in the direction of Esplanade Drive (between Finlayson Green and Fullerton Square)
7.       2 left lanes of Rochor Road (between the slip road leading from East Coast Parkway in the direction of Changi Airport into Rochor Road and Temasek Boulevard)
8.       2 left lanes of Fort Road in the direction of Mountbatten Road (between the slip road leading from East Coast Parkway in the direction of Changi Airport into Fort Road and Mountbatten Road) (f) Sunday, 12 September 2010 from 1.00 am to 11.00 am

During the event, there will be some changes in the vehicular traffic direction for the following roads:

(i) The carriageway of Marina Boulevard in the direction of East Coast Parkway (between Straits View and Marina View) shall become a 2-way road on Sunday, 12 September 2010, from 4.30 am to 11.00 am.
(ii) The direction of traffic along Temasek Avenue in the direction of Temasek Boulevard (between Raffles Avenue and Raffles Boulevard) shall be reversed on Sunday, 12 September 2010, from 6.00 am to 11.00 am.

Auxiliary police officers will be deployed at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists.

Motorists travelling to the Marina Bay area are advised to use Bras Basah Road and Keppel Road while motorists travelling to Tanjong Rhu are advised to use Stadium Road.

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed away.
