Two Arrested For Alleged ‘Hacking’ Of Istana Website

Police have arrested two Singaporean men, aged 17 and 42, in connection with a Police report lodged on 8 November 2013 by the web administrator of the Istana website.

The two suspects were arrested earlier today and will be charged in Court on 29 November 2013 for an offence of unauthorised modification of computer material under Section 5(1) of the Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act, Chapter 50A, which carries a punishment of a fine not exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or both.
