| Manpower Statistics (As of 31 March 2007)
As of 31 March 2007, SPF has an operationally ready strength
of 12,516 full-time officers. This comprises 7,826 regular
officers, 1,206 civilian officers, and 3,484 full-time Police National Servicemen (PNSF) dedicated to ensuring a safe and secured homeland. In addition, a total of 20,852 Police
National Servicemen (PNSmen) and 1,049 Volunteer Special
Constabulary (VSC) officers also contribute to the safety and
security of the nation.

Training Indicators (1 April 2006 - 31 March 2007)
Training investment is defined as the costs incurred in providing training to staff. It is measured as a percentage of staff payrolls using
the following formula:

For FY 2006, the training investment incurred was 9.9% of the total annual payroll. The average number of training days per
officer was 20.1. The percentage of officers with at least ten training days, the Singapore Police Force’s training target for
FY 2006, was 99.9%.
