Financial Report (1 April 2007– 31 March 2008)

The total budget for the Singapore Police Force (SPF) comprises the Recurrent Budget and Development Budget. The total Recurrent Budget consists of allocation for Other Operating Expenditure (OOE) and Expenditure on Manpower (EOM).

ACTUAL RECURRENT EXPENDITURE AND DEVELOPMENT EXPENDITURE FOR FY 2007

The total actual recurrent expenditure incurred in FY 2007 was S$1.35 billion. It comprises OOE amounting to S$509.72 million and EOM amounting to S$842.19 million. The total actual development expenditure in FY 2007 was S$75.18 million.

Training Indicators years are as follows :

Training investment is defined as the costs incurred in providing training to staff. It is measured as a percentage of staff payroll using the following formula:

For FY 2007, the training investment incurred was 7.6% of the total annual payroll. The average number of training days per officer was 18.5. The percentage of officers with at least 10 training days, SPF’s training target for FY 2007, was 100%.
