Service Pledge Statistics (January - December 2007)
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) Service Pledge is a commitment to the public on the service standards
they can expect from SPF. In 2007, SPF exceeded all its targets and even surpassed the results achieved
in 2006 in four out of its six targets.

Answering ‘999’ Calls
The Combined Operations Room (COR)
received 1,630,271 ‘999’ calls from the public
in 2007. The number of calls received by
COR in 2007 dropped by 0.63% compared
to the numbers of calls received in 2006.
1,596,217 (or 97.91%) of the calls were
answered within 10 seconds.
Response to Urgent Incidents
In 2007, 122,054 urgent incidents were
reported by the public. 111,602 (or 91.44%)
of these incidents were attended to within
15 minutes by the patrol resources. The
number of urgent incidents reported
in 2007 increased by 1.84% compared
to 2006.
Response to Non-Urgent Incidents
For the year 2007, the public reported
196,420 non-urgent incidents. The number
of non-urgent incidents reported in 2007
decreased by 13.46% compared to 2006.
184,053 (or 93.70%) of the non-urgent
incidents reported were attended to within
30 minutes.
Response to Letters from Public
During the same period, 106,441 letters
from the public were received. 106,366
(or 99.93%) letters received a response
within five working days. The number of
letters received in 2007 increased by 13.13%
compared to 2006.
Updating Victims of Crime on the
Outcome of Cases
In 2007, 39,618 crime cases were reported
at the six Land Divisions, Police Coast Guard
(PCG), Criminal Investigation Department
(CID) and Criminal Affairs Department
(CAD). Of these, 39,617 (or 100%) of the
complainants/victims were informed of
the preliminary status of their cases within
seven working days..
Serving Customers at
Police Service Counters
For the year 2007, 236,555 walk-in customers
were served at the Police service counters.
Of these, 209,563 (or 88.59%) of the
customers were served within 15 minutes.
