The School of Criminal Investigation (SCI) of the Criminal Investigation Department was formed in year 2000. Its vision is “To be the leading premier law enforcement training institution specialising in the field of criminal investigation”.
SCI is the staff authority for training in criminal investigations, and is responsible for imparting and facilitating the transfer of relevant knowledge and skills to serving investigators in law enforcement agencies. The School focuses on providing advanced training to investigators, as well as providing training to specialist investigation units. To enhance its training resources, SCI works closely with relevant training bodies and forms partnerships with them.
