To Pulau Ubin Police Post,

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to SGT Ricky Ling for his help on 10 Dec at 1630 when I had a terrible fall at Pulau Ubin. When I arrived at the police post to seek medical help, he was very approaching and prompt in providing the medical attention that I needed. He was meticulous and even went the extra mile by advising my parents to bring me to the doctor if a fever develops.  Keep up the good work and thanks! Regards”

"I'm writing in to congratulate SPF on the courtesy of its Traffic Police Officers at Ubi Station. I was stopped for drink driving in the early hours of 5 Nov, and although this should be something that one would normally regret, I am actually glad to have witnessed such good service and courtesy from our police officers. In fact, if only this applied to other parts of our service industry! I would like to notably commend Station Inspector Poh Seng Ang and his team of officers for not only their impeccable politeness in dealing with drivers stopped for drink driving , or whatever other reasons, but also their good English and mandarin. This is again quite rare. I do not know if all the other police officers are as polite as Inspector Poh's team, but if indeed the rest of SPF is like them, then it is something that we should all be proud of. I do hope that SPF will keep it up. It is certainly not easy upholding the law one hand and serving the people on the other."

My husband and I would like to thank the Traffic Policeman, Kelvin (if I recalled correctly, motorcycle plate no. TP888J), for his helpful act on 23-Oct-05 Sun 8am . My husband's car battery is flat and car is unable to start-up. His car is located at Bukit Batok West Ave 5 main road. My husband intends to push the car to the nearby carpark while I drive the car. Kelvin stop by and help us by controlling the traffic and at the same time help to push the car to make a left turn at the T-junction in order for us to reach the car park. We greatly appreciate his kind act. He has given us the necessay help and we greatly appreciate it. Thank you for having such a wonderful Traffic Policeman.

On 7th October 2005 at about 1800hrs, me and my sister were going to Johor Bahru when our car temperature got heated up. Luckily for us, we had reached the fuel-gauge checkpoint and I seek permission from one of the police officers there to park my car at the parking slots available. It was quite a panic situation for myself and my sister as we were quite clueless as to what to do. It was then SSI Lau approached us to enquire what happened and offered his assistance. SSI Lau had not only gone to the trouble of waiting for the water-tank temparature to cool down,he even helped me to top up the tank. He even made sure we had extra water and that all is well before we drove off.

I would like to take this opportunity to commend the Spore Police Force for having such improved service and helpful officers. It is such a comfort and priviledge to know that we can depend on our enforcement officers in any situation.

To Woodlands Checkpoint Police Station,

I would like to thank the police team lead by Officer S.I. Aladdin for returning my handbag (lost at public toilet at departure hall at Woodlands Checkpoint) on 18/04/2006 at 1930 hrs. All items were intact. The highly efficient officer, S.I. Aladdin, personally contacted me at 2045 hrs on the same day. He also informed me that a Malaysian visitor, found my bag at the toilet. I really appreciate the speed & efficiency of the police team of Woodlands Checkpoint in returning my handbag on the very same day and in doing so allay my anxiety. I also like to commend the friendliness and extra care displayed by the team without reservation, when my husband and I were there at the station. I am truly impressed and their integrity is outstanding!

Yours sincerely,

Kook Pik Cheng

To Police National Service Department,

I had sent an e-mail to the Singapore Police Force enquiring about some NS matters. I wish to express my thanks and gratitude to Mr Yong Jong Chee from PNSD. Mr Yong was patient and did not find me troublesome. He even personally called me up and carefully explained my queries despite his busy schedule. This is indeed the quality of service we could expect from the Singapore Police Force. Once again, I would like to thank Mr Yong and his colleagues who had helped answering my enquiries.

Yours Sincerely,

Huang Weiqin

To Traffic Police,

While sending my kids to school, at 6.50am , my car stalled in the midst of a very congested road at the cross junction of AMK Ave 1 and Bishan Road . Fortunately two of your colleagues Sgt Alexander Tong (TP24) and Sgt Wayzik Khoo (TP901) of Traffic Police Team 1 were at the vicinity and their assistance was of much consolation and relief to me. I must compliment them for their prompt alertness in clearing my car away from the road so as to facilitate a smooth traffic flow along Bishan Road and AMK Ave 1. As the car seemed to be out of petrol, the guys decided to push my car to the nearest petrol station at Ang Mo Kio Ave 1. Trust me, it was really tedious for them to take turns pushing a 1500kg car along a busy road.  They could have taken the easy way by pushing my car to the side of the road and advised me to call for the towing company.  However they deemed it not necessary to call the tow truck. I would like to thank the two gentlemen for their assistance and because of their selflessness and civic-mindedness, I was able to get back in time to send my other kid at home to school too.

Yours Sincerely,

Yeo Wee Swan

To Traffic Police,

When I was uncertain of the legality to park my car for dinner, the attendant called the Police. Even though I was given a parking ticket, I am impressed by his professional and polite attitude in the way that he explained to me the offence and would like to commend him on this. I'm sure this is contributed part due to the training he had received. In a first world country as ours, there's an increasing emphasis on gracious behaviour and the government has been encouraging that. It is good to see a public servant practicing what the government is preaching. To be assertive but yet polite is not an easy balance to strike. But Officer Alexandra Tong has shown he can do it.

Thank you,

Simon Seah

To Traffic Police,

On 13 June, I was rushing our daughter to see her paediatrician who is located at Woodlands Street 82 when I lost my way somewhere in the midst of Woodlands within the 200 series blocks. We were fortunate to spot two police officers, W/CPL Thana and SC/CPL Zubir of QX-4531E and decided to ask them for directions. Without hesitation they immediately asked me to follow their patrol car and led us to our destination. We are so fortunate that we have such compassionate and kind police officers who would extend such personal assistance despite their busy schedule. On behalf of my family, we would like to say a big THANK YOU to both of them and wish them well in their careers with SPF.

Yours truly,

Michael Kee
