Since its inception the SPF band has seen dramatic growth and development, transforming from a strictly regimental military band, to one which boasts the ability and versatility of performing a wide repertoire of music, from ethnic favourites to orchestral classics. The high standard of musicianship of the Police Band has been recognised worldwide and has lead to numerous international invitations. The most spectacular being the Edinburgh Military Tattoo 1991 and invited again in 2008.
